Day 9
Our morning began in mathematics where we explored ‘likely,
unlikely, certain and impossible’ scenarios. The students had use their thumbs
to determine the scenario outcome.
We then played a chance game as a class called ‘Greater or
Less?’ game; where we had to calculate the sum of two numbers. Students create
a tally of results and graph to accompany their work.
The students then went to P.E. with Mr. H. After P.E, followed
by novel study. In novel study the students created a character profile for
Harry and wrote sentences explaining his feeling.
After that we had first recess and lunch followed by UOI and
literacy. In UOI the students used the tablets to identify the roles of our community
helpers.
In literacy the students used their knowledge of writing a
letter to edit mistakes.
We then had second lunch and recess followed by agendas and poem
practice.
