A terrific Tuesday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’Canada. Then we had register followed by the calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had phonics where the students continued to explore the phoneme ‘Uu’.

After that we had recess followed by Halloween related activities for the rest of the day!

October 30

A marvelous Monday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’ Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and sharing our weekend news with Penguin.   

        

We then had mathematics where the students were introduced to graphs. The students even placed themselves  on a graph!

After that we recess followed by phonics and UOI. In phonics the students practiced their letter formation of letter ‘Uu’.

In UOI the students then watched Mrs. Orphanides’ UOI project presentation on Amazing Bodies. The students gave her feedback and Mrs. Orphanides continued to practice and improve her presentation.

We then had lunch and recess.

Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by Daily 5.

We then had afternoon recess followed by Halloween Art.

Key information:

-          Halloween Spirit Day tomorrow – come to school dressed in your Halloween costume (no masks or weapons).

A fantastic Friday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had mathematics where the students created their own survey question and used a T chart to record their results. The students also shared their results with their peers.  

After that we had recess followed by Show and Tell and UOI. In Show and Tell students brought in items from home that reminded them of our phonemes from this week.

In UOI the students discussed this month’s learner profile and attitude ‘Knowledgeable’ and ‘Independent’. We read the story ‘Tangerine and Kiwi visit Sugar Bush’ and the students identified how Tangerine and Kiwi were independent and knowledgeable.

After that we had lunch and recess. Then, our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by Daily 5 and Birthday Circle.

Our afternoon ended with French with Mme. Viellenueve.

-          Scholastic orders due Monday, October 30^th.

-          Summative project materials due Monday, October 30^th.

A tremendous Thursday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’ Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had mathematics where the students were introduced to a T chart. In pairs the students came up with their own question and surveyed the class.

We then had recess followed by phonics and UOI. In phonics they students continued to explore the phoneme ‘Ee’.

In UOI the students discussed how eating unhealthy food makes them feel.

We then had lunch and recess.

 Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by Daily 5.

We then had afternoon recess followed by Music with Ms. Elliot.
