You’ll never guess what happened today!
Our morning began with each house making up
a ‘house song’, followed by our final ‘House Games’ for this week. The children then had gym with Mr. H.
After that, the most unexpected thing
happened! We were in the middle of practicing times tables when there was a
knock at the door. Mr Nahi appeared with a parcel which was addressed to ‘Grade
2, Miss Baimas’ and a label which stated ‘Live Specimen, RUSH’. I was extremely
nervous and asked the children if it would be ok if they opened the parcel.
Excitedly, the children raced to the carpet, sat in a circle, and ripped open
the parcel. Inside was a container with live caterpillars! The children were
all given time to take a look at the container and then we discussed how we
will take care of them.
The only thing that remains a puzzle is that
we don’t know who sent them! Do you know?
After lunch and recess the children
finished off their ‘IB Learner Profile and Attitude’ work from yesterday which
is now ready for display. They also completed their birthday cards and designed
the front cover to their ‘Butterfly Tracking Book’. They also had music with
Mr. Andrei.
Following second lunch and recess, the
children had French with Mademoiselle Jessica. Our day ended with us sharing
our ‘All About Me Bags’ with one another. Due to time constraints not all
students were able to share their bags, however this activity will continue
next Friday during ‘Circle Time’.
Overall, a very exciting day!
Have a great weekend,
Miss Baimas
