A tremendous Thursday!
Our morning began with assembly where the students sang O’
Canada followed attendance, calendar and 100 days of school.
After that the students had art with Ms. Doucette before
having a snack and recess.
We then had phonics and mathematics. In phonics, the
students continued to explore the phoneme and grapheme of the letter ‘Ee’.
In mathematics the students began to explore the concept of
tallying. As a class, the students created t-charts and asked their peers
questions.
After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by
UOI. In UOI the students continued with their summative projects.
Our day ended with music with Ms. Bhogal and Mr. Deaken.

Summative project begins this
week. This is an in class project. Please see the letter sent home for last
week for additional information

Kind reminder, please read
with your child every night and send the reading books on your child’s ‘Read
with Teacher’ day so that new books can be issued.
Helpful tip: Cover up
the pictures and encourage your child to use their phonological awareness to
sound out each word and then blend together to say the word
(eg. /s/ /a/ /t/ - sat).
