Day 8
Our morning began in mathematics with the challenges written
by students at the end of yesterday’s lesson.
After that we began to explore written addition strategies
which involved carrying over.
We had gym with Mr. H. followed by reading comprehension.
The students independently completed the comprehension ‘Happy Birthday’ which explored
the birthday celebration traditions of China.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by library. In
the library the students were given the opportunity to change their reading
book.
Then we had UOI where we were joined by Grade 2 OJ. As a
class we re-called facts from yesterday’s story on Kwanzaa.
We then created a Kwanzaa mat and kept the seven key
principles in mind whilst we did so.
We then had second lunch and recess followed by French and
agendas.
