A wonderful Wednesday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’ Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had phonics where we discussed the phoneme ‘IGHigh’. Students then practiced their letter formation of letter ‘IGHigh’.
  
We then had recess followed by UOI/Mathematics where the students continued with their work on prepositions.













Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by poem practice.

We then had afternoon recess followed by French with Mme. Viellenueve.

-          Practice poem on a daily basis. In-class Oral Competition on Monday, February 5th. TMA Oral Competition on Wednesday, February 7th.

A terrific Tuesday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had phonics where the students we continued to explore the phoneme ‘EEee’.

 We then had recess followed by UOI/Mathematics where the continued our work on prepositions. 
Students continued with yesterday’s task of placing Penguin around the room and using prepositions to state his location.





They also learnt an action song for prepositions. See video below:







After that we had lunch and recess.

 Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by poem practice.

Our afternoon ended with recess followed by Art where the students learnt about the artist Andy Warhol who used patterns in some of his art.

-          Casual Day tomorrow.

A marvelous Monday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’ Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and sharing our weekend news with Penguin.       
                                          




We then had recess followed by phonics where we discussed the phoneme ‘EEee’. Students then practiced their letter formation of ‘EEee’.

We then recess followed by UOI/Mathematics where the students began to learn about prepositions. As a class the students created a list of language which describes the position of objects. Then, they placed Penguin in various places in the class room and used the language to describe.








After that we had lunch and recess.

Then, our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by poem practice.

Our afternoon ended with recess followed by French with Mme. Viellenueve.

A fantastic Friday!

Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’Canada. Then we had register followed by calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

Next we had Show and Tell where students brought in items from home that reminded them of our phonemes from this week.








After that we had recess followed UOI/mathematics where the students demonstrated their knowledge and understanding by completing a patterns test.

After that we had lunch and recess.
Then, our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by ‘Birthday Circle’.





Our afternoon ended with recess followed by UOI choosing.

-          Casual Day on Wednesday.

A tremendous Thursday!
Our morning began with assembly where we sang O’Canada. Then we had register followed by the calendar, the weather and 100 days of school.

After that we had phonics where the students continued to explore the phoneme ‘AIai’.


We then had recess followed by UOI/mathematics where the students reviewed their learning on patterns. 



The students extended their learning by creating a pattern and working in partners to name each other’s’ patterns.




Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by Daily 5.


We then had afternoon recess followed by music with Miss. Bhogal.

We then had recess followed by UOI/mathematics where the students reviewed their learning on patterns. The students were placed into groups and had to name and extend various patterns on the board.













Our afternoon began with P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by Daily 5.

We then had afternoon recess followed by music with Miss. Bhogal.
