A fantastic Friday!

Our morning began with assembly where the students sang O’ Canada followed attendance, calendar and 100 days of school.

We then had snack and recess.

After that the students had Show and Tell followed by topic. In Show and Tell the students brought in items to share relating to our phonemes of the week.

In topic the students explored the garden as inquires.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by French with Mme. Villenueve.

Before recess the students had Birthday Circle.

Key information

-        Next week is the PTA Thanksgiving dessert. Please look on the PTA board for volunteer signup sheets.

-        Please submit your Scholastic order order by Monday, October 1^st.

-        Terry Fox pledge due by Monday, October 1^st.

-        Trip to Downy’s Farm on Wednesday, letter in agenda.

-        DRA and Math assessments sent home.

-        House colour bags available for purchase. Please contact Alpa.

A tremendous Thursday!

Our morning began with assembly where the students sang O’ Canada followed attendance, calendar and 100 days of school.

After that the students had a snack before art with Ms. Doucette.

After recess the students has phonics and maths.

In phonics the continued to explore the phoneme and grapheme of the letter ‘Nn’.

In math the students demonstrated their understanding and knowledge of numbers up to 20 using Base 10 blocks.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by topic where the students explored how milk arrives as the shop.

Our day ended with recess followed by our Terry Fox run.

Key information

-        Birthday Circle tomorrow. We celebrate Birthday Circle on the last Friday of every month. Students who celebrate their birthday in the present calendar month are invited to bring treats for a whole school celebration.

-        House Colours tomorrow for house points.

-        Show and Tell tomorrow. Please see agenda for details.

A wonderful Wednesday!

Our morning began with assembly where the students sang O’ Canada followed attendance, calendar and 100 days of school.

After that the students has mathematics where they  practiced their number formation.

Before lunch the students had their phonics where they discussed the phoneme and grapheme for the letter ‘Nn’ and students practiced their letter formation.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by French with Mme. Villenueve.

Our day ended with recess followed by story time.

-        Kind Casual Day reminder: Casual Day costs $2 or $20 for the year.

A marvellous Monday!

Our morning began with assembly where the students sang O’ Canada followed attendance, calendar and 100 days of school.

After that the students shared their weekend news with Penguin.

Before lunch the students had their first phonics lesson. They discussed the phoneme and grapheme for the letter ‘Ii’ and students practiced their letter formation.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by French with Mme. Villenueve.

Our day ended with recess followed by story time.

-        Scholastic sent home, please submit you order by Monday, October 1^st.

-        We celebrate Casual Day on the last Wednesday of every month. Students are invited to wear their own clothes on Casual Day. Please kindly send your $20 payment for the full year.

-        Terry Fox run on Thursday, September 27. Please come to school in the gym uniform. Students who purchased a Terry Fox shirt are encouraged to wear those.

A fantastic Friday

After that the students had mathematics where the students played “Guess the Crayons!”

We then had snack and recess.

As a year group, the kindergarten students had Show and Tell followed by library where Penguin read them a story.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield.

Our day ended with recess followed by choosing.

Key information

-      Casual Day on Wednesday. All students are encouraged to wear their own clothes. Please bring your $20 payment for the year.

-      Terry Fox Run on Thursday, please bring your sponsorship with you.

After that the students had art with Ms. Doucette before having a snack and recess.

We then had snack and recess followed by maths and phonics. In math the students were introduced to Base 10 blocks.

After lunch the students had P.E with Miss. Cranfield followed by French with Mme. Villenueve.

Our day ended with recess followed by music with Ms. Bhogal and Mr. Deaken.
