Day 4
Today in mathematics the students began by recalling their
times table facts.
After that the children explored subtraction word problems.
They were required to look for information in a story and subtract two digit
numbers using their own strategies.
After mathematics the students had P.E. with Mr. H, followed
by their spelling test and agendas.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by library. In
the library the students were given the opportunity to change their reading
book.
After that we had UOI where we were joined by Grade 2 OJ to
discuss the Christmas Concert. Despite several technical difficulties, we also
managed to watch How The Grinch Stole Christmas by Dr. Seuss.
We then had second
lunch and recess, followed by French. Our day ended with circle time where we
created crafts and cards for our Colourful Friend.
Important Information:
- School Trip to Benares House on Tuesday (disposable lunch
will be necessary)
-Christmas Concert Auditions will be held on Monday
- Food and Toy Drive continues
