Day 4
TODAY WAS YEAR AHEAD DAY!
Our morning began in mathematics where the students
exercised their mental arithmetic skills with a round of ‘Follow Me Cards’.
The students then had P.E. with Mr. H, followed by UOI. In
UOI we read ‘The Little White Owl’ and used Penguin to retell the story. Each
child then discussed attributes that made them unique.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by library. In
the library the students were given the opportunity to explore the library and
select a narrative to read.
After that we had UOI where we discussed our cultures and
traditions. The children identified their favourite tradition and shared it
with their peers. They then wrote about their favourite tradition and had a ‘Gallery’
of their work where they gave positive feedback to one another.
We then had second
lunch and recess, followed by French. Our day ended with agendas and games such
as ‘Time-table Shoot Out’ with addition and subtraction questions.
