Friday, November 4

Day 1

Our morning began the auditorium with a couple of children reciting the Guy Fawkes poem.

We then has mathematics where the students continued their work on time. We explored current time using our classroom clock and the students were also set a challenge where they would be picked randomly during the school day to read the time. Students took the challenge in their stride and did very well.

After mathematics, the students had P.E with Mr. H followed by spelling test.

We then had first lunch and recess followed by UOI. In UOI the students were introduced to their summative project (a letter was sent home during the week with an outline of the task and mark scheme). As a class we create a project example to ensure understanding.

We then went to music with Mr. Andrei, followed by UOI. In UOI the students began planning their summative project. Students used the balanced food plate to help them.

Before second lunch and recess we completed our agendas. We then had French and circle time where students from the class recited the Guy Fawkes poem.

- A message from MYP studends:

Dear Parents and Guardians,

St. Jude's Academy's upper school students are organizing a winter clothing drive for 50 Syrian Refugee families.  We hope that you are able to participate by sending in your gently-used winter clothes.  The students are mostly looking for jackets, coats, snow pants, mittens, and hats, but anything would be appreciated.

The age range of the children of the Syrian families are from 2 years old to 18 years old.  The drive will be running until Friday, November 18, 2016.  We will be collecting all items at the end of every school day, and students will be awarded house points for each article of clothing!

Thank you in advance for your support!

Sincerely,
St. Jude's Academy
MYP Students

Have a wonderful weekend everyone,
Miss Baimas
