Day 1
Our morning began with mathematics where the students
continued their work on money. They were required to count on and skip count to
find the value of coins and to find the total cost of 3 items.
After mathematics, the students had P.E with Mr. H followed
by journal.
In journal the students has to write a paragraph about themselves. Students
were reminded to use cursive handwriting, add detail to their sentences and
ensure they have used punctuation.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by UOI. In UOI
the students were introduced to their third UOI ‘Colourful Cultures’ and were
required to write as many facts they could about a given holiday. The students
also wrote questions about what they would like to find out.
We then went to music with Mr. Oliver.
We then had second lunch and recess followed by French and agendas.

A message from Mrs. Nelson:
Dear St. Jude's Academy Families,
St. Jude's Academy is holding our annual Science Fair this Thursday, November 24th. Each class will have their science fair project(s) displayed in their classroom to share with the school community. Parents are welcome to join us to view the projects from 2:45 - 3:20. It is sure to be an exciting and educational event!
We would like to remind parents to send their child(ren) with appropriate outdoor winter clothing for the cold weather. Hats, snow pants, gloves and scarves are all needed to help to make the two outdoor recesses safe and enjoyable. To avoid missing items, please remember to label, label, label.
The St. Jude's Academy monthly newsletter is posted to our school website by the last day of every month. If you have not yet checked out the newsletter, please have a look at our home page to find previous editions. The news letter is full of class updates, student winners, and other interesting school information.
Please remember that the Kiss and Ride drop off area is a 'no parking zone' in the mornings, and during the 3:30 - 3:40 afternoon Kiss and Ride program. Parents are welcomed to pull-up to the Kiss and Ride area to drop off their child(ren), but cars may not be left unattended or idling in the Kiss and Ride zone. Thank you for your support with this.
