Day 6

Welcome back everyone!
Our morning began in mathematics with the students tried to improve their class time of 4minutes and 27 seconds for our ‘Follow Me Cards’ game. The students beat their time by 1 minute and 23 seconds! Their new time to beat is 3 minutes and 04 seconds.

We then began to learn about Canadian money. The students were able to name the Canadian coins and notes. They were also able to state their value.



After that the students started to create their own money flap book. They will continue this activity tomorrow.








The students then went to P.E. with Mr. H. After P.E the students had spellings where they were give their new spelling words (Lesson 10) and then completed their letter to the soldier.








We then had first lunch and recess, followed by UOI. In UOI the students reflected upon their learning in this year thus far.

 We then had Science. In science the students were introduced to solids, liquids and gases.



 We explored particle formation in each and how water can change to a solid, liquid or gas by cooling or heating.

The students were then introduced to their science fair experiment. They came up with a question:‘What type of chocolate will melt the fastest?’ and a hypothesis (prediction).




The students discussed how we can conduct a fair test. We will begin testing tomorrow.

We then had second lunch an recces, followed by French with Mlls. Jessica and recess.
