Day 3
Our morning began in mathematics with the students tried to
improve their class time of 5minutes and 44 seconds for our ‘Follow Me Cards’
game. The students beat their time by 1 second!
We then began to explore the concept of temperature. As a
class we discussed how and why it was important to record temperature. Students
then had an opportunity to read a thermometer by measuring the temperature of
cold and warm water.
The students then had
P.E. with Mr. H followed by journal. In journal the student’s reflected on
their healthy habits and answered the question: What is your favourite meal and
why? Students were reminded to use
cursive handwriting, add detail to their sentences and ensure they have used
punctuation.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by literacy. In
literacy the students recap the features of explanation texts. As a class we
discussed the structure of explanation writing and the type of information that
would be included.
The students then had music with Mr. Andrei followed by UOI.
In UOI the students continued working upon their summative tasks. The students
were reminded that our presentations begin tomorrow.
We then had second lunch and recess, followed by French and
agendas.
Important Information:
- Summative project presentations begin tomorrow. Projects sent home for presentation practice. Students encouraged too be creative with the delivery of their presentation.
- Monday PD Day Camp Letter sent home, places offered on a
first come first serve basis
- Christmas basket due Tuesday
- Holiday fundraising due next Friday
