Monday, October 24

Day 2
Our morning began in mathematics where the students completed their ‘Number Relationships’ test.

After mathematics the students had P.E. with Mr. H, followed by their spelling test.

We then had lunch and recess. As we came back in to the classroom after recess, the most unusual thing happened… an announcement was made for a child in Grade 2 Miss Baimas and a child from Grade 2 Miss Jaskolka to make their way to the office. The children went and came back with a thick envelope addressed to Grade 2.

As a whole year group we came together to open the envelope. Inside was a letter from Broc and Coco – the superheroes of keeping healthy! (Letter sent home, please check agenda)

The letter explained that there are two missions for Grade 2 to complete:

1)      ‘‘Your first mission is to figure out your superhero identity and which super food activates your powers.’’

2)      ‘‘Our second mission requires you to create your ‘Healthy Living Guide’. We are asking you to log 1 healthy meal a day and 1 exercise activity a day for 5 days. ’’

The students were so excited by this that we spent the rest of our time completing mission.

The students will be presenting their work next Monday.

We then had second lunch and recess, followed by French and agendas.
