Day 3
Welcome back! Our day began in mathematics where the
students were given the task to write four number sentences based off one
question. Students gave two addition and two subtraction number sentences to
describe an arrangement of snap cubes.
The students then completed a range of addition and
subtraction number sentences using various strategies. The students then had to
choose one these number sentences to explain how they found their answer.
The students then had P.E. with Mr. H followed by spelling.
The students wrote out their new spelling words and began the lesson 5
activities in their spelling text book.
We then had first lunch and recess followed by UOI. In UOI
the students continued working upon their summative tasks. The students were
reminded that our presentations begin tomorrow.
The students then had music with Mr. Andrei.
We then had second lunch and recess, followed by French and
agendas. We also wrote a paragraph in our journals using the following sentence
starter: If I were a spider I would…
Important Information:
- SJA Movie Night – October 21. Tickets cost $10 (popcorn,
water bottle and treat included, additional pizza slice available at a cost of
$2).
- Summative project presentations begin tomorrow.
